We are seeking a dedicated and experienced senior ICU doctor to join our critical care team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ensuring timely diagnosis, treatment, and continuous monitoring.
- The role involves managing medical emergencies, ventilator-supported patients, and critically ill cases while collaborating with consultants, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based, patient-centric care.
- The senior ICU doctor will also supervise resident medical officers (RMOs), guide junior doctors, participate in clinical decision-making, and ensure adherence to NABH standards, infection control policies, and hospital protocols.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong critical care knowledge, excellent clinical judgment, leadership abilities, and the capacity to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
Roles & Responsibilites
- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients admitted to the ICU.
- Monitor and manage ventilated patients, hemodynamic support, and life support systems.
- Perform and assist with ICU procedures, including central venous
- catheterization, arterial line insertion, intubation, and other critical care interventions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, Code Blue activations, and deteriorating patient conditions.
- Coordinate patient management with consultants, specialists, nursing staff, laboratory, radiology, and other departments.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Supervise and mentor RMOs and junior doctors during clinical duties and shift handovers.
- Ensure adherence to NABH standards, ICU protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and continuous medical education programs.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding treatment plans and patient progress.
