We are looking for a dedicated and skilled general surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care to patients in a hospital setting.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, diagnosing surgical conditions, performing elective and emergency surgical procedures, and delivering high-quality pre-operative and post-operative care.
- The role requires close collaboration with physicians, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure safe, evidence-based treatment and optimal patient outcomes.
- The general surgeon will also maintain accurate clinical documentation, educate patients and their families regarding treatment options and recovery, and ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control protocols, and ethical medical practices.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical judgment, excellent surgical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Roles & Responsibilites
- Conduct OPD consultations and evaluate patients requiring surgical intervention.
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of general surgical conditions.
- Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Provide comprehensive preoperative evaluation and postoperative patient management.
- Monitor patient recovery, identify complications, and initiate timely interventions.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, physicians, intensivists, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative care.
- Respond to emergency surgical cases and trauma situations as required.
- Ensure adherence to infection control practices, patient safety standards, NABH guidelines, and hospital policies.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and continuing medical education programs.
